Tap is a classic style of dance characterized by using the sounds of metal taps on shoes, striking the floor as a form of percussion. Beginner classes focuses on timing, rhythm and keeping a beat. Classes include both center and across-the-floor combinations to music and a cappella (no music). Classes will incorporate some jazz and other dance styles as well as tambourines and drum sticks. Not all ages and levels are offered each session.

Creative Rhythms is a great class for young dancers to learn all types of rhythm and movement through dance games and free expression. After a quick stretch, participants will explore dance and musicality using basic tap, tambourines, drumsticks, shakers.
An introduction to stamps, stomps, shuffles, flaps and more. Emphasis on counting steps, keeping a beat, and learning to follow a rhythm. Classes accommodate those with some tap experience and those with little or no tap experience. Ages 4-6 is a non-recital class and include a FREE tap shoe rental for each session.
Greater focus on timing, rhythm and working on tempo changes and speed of steps executed. Dancers will review weight change and be introduced to syncopation and times steps.
Focus on intricate footwork and combinations, increasing speed, tempo changes, time steps and across-the-floor combinations. Included: drawbacks, wings, and refining technique. Both rhythm-style and Broadway-style tap will be taught.
A great class open to teens and adults who would like to learn the basics of tap and those with some tap experience (1-2 years). Class will focus on steps and combinations and will include some choreography. Both rhythm-style and Broadway-style tap will be taught. To establish greater focus on technique, this is a non-recital class.
