Age Requirements

• Volunteers: Minimum of 13 years of age.
• Leaders/Instructors: Minimum of 15 years of age. Those 14 years of age with 100 hours of volunteer experience at UMDGC will also be eligible for a paid position. Full-time positions available starting at age 18.

Minimum Wages

These are the minimum wages for each age group. Higher rates are available for those with greater experience and greater responsibilities. Training rates are one tier lower until you are approved to instructor your own class/group.

• Minimum wage:  $7.25
• Part-time, Ages 14-16: $10
• Part-time, Ages 17-18, or Age 16 with a driver’s license:  $13
• Part-time, High School Graduate:  $18
• Full-time Employee:  $25
