All Star Cheerleading is a dynamic co-ed competitive sport where teams, consisting of boys and girls ages 3 and up, perform routines featuring tumbling, stunts, jumps, pyramids, and dance. Our teams compete at various levels, from local and regional events to national and world championships. Our teams are structured with skill levels ranging from 1 to 6, allowing athletes of different experience levels to join!
Our season begins in June and runs through late April or early May (Our younger Novice& Prep teams begin their season in September and ends early April). Each team practices 2 or 3 times per week, and at the higher athlete levels, additional practices may be added prior to competitions. Our Elite and Worlds teams also attend choreography and stunting camps at the gym during the summer and on several weekends during the fall. To best prepare our teams for success, attendance is mandatory for all practices, camps, clinics, showcases and competitions.
If withdrawing from UMAS, you are required to complete and confirm a UMDGC Request Form online at www.umdgc.com. Conversations, emails, band messages, or any other forms of communication requesting a withdraw from UMAS or UMDGC program are not valid methods of communicating the desire to withdraw; only the UMDGC Request Form is a valid method to withdraw. The date the UMDGC Request Form is received by the UMDGC front Desk is the date that is used to determine the eligibility of any credits and refunds. See more details in the Financial Commitments section later in this handbook.
